Personal Styling requests seem to follow pattern. Even in season-less San Diego,we tend to clean our closets during the Spring and bolster our wardrobes during the fall. I had a few personal shopping trips in April, so if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may have seen these pop up already. While it's not everything, below are some of my favorite client purchases during the month of April.
Blazers and Jackets
#1) On the hunt for a statement blazer, a client purchased this fun paisley-printed, spring weight blazer from Banana Republic. #2) Looking for a softer blazer that can be work at work and with jeans on days off, a client picked up this knitted Olivia Moon blazer. These can almost always be found on sale in the POV department at Nordstrom. #3) After striking out at several other stores, a client found the perfect light wash jean jacket by Kut from the Kloth. I would order up a size if you want a more traditional fit. If you want a "cropped" jacket, stick with your regular size. #4) Words cannot express how gorgeous this Blank NYC Suede Moto jacket is in person. It looks and feels very expensive, but it's only $188.
Shoes and Accessories
#1) This faux leather tote is a classic that will never go out of style. It looks fantastic and at a price of $48, every client who saw it bought it. It's also reversible. #2) These Born flats are a perennial favorite. They come in black and tan, but everyone seemed to be gravitating toward the spring neutrals this month--lots of beige, tan, brown and light grey. N one bought black anything this month. #3) These loafers by Lucky are a great "double-duty" shoe for working moms--dressy enough for work, comfortable enough for a day of play. I recommend going down a half size as the leather will stretch. #4) These Sam Edelman booties are the perfect dress-up shoe for when you need to meet the girls for brunch, go to a baby shower, or have a date.
Tops and a Dress
#1) The J. Crew Always Chambray is the perfect Chambray shirt. If you're trying to find "the one" this is it. #2) This dress is stunning. Every person who put it on loved it and bought it. In Navy, it can be appropriate for work, weddings, cocktails--this dress is a closet workhorse. #3) While I normally look to made well for all things denim, this beautiful shell tank was picked up by a client looking for dual-duty work-to-weekend tops.
